We're based in Clarksville, Tennessee and work across Clarksville and Fort Campbell, Hopkinsville and Oak Grove in Kentucky, Erin and Houston County, Dickson County, Nashville and Hermitage on its east side, and Paducah. The further cities are scheduled as blocks of consecutive days so the job is done in one visit. If you're somewhere in between, call and ask.

It depends on the size, the number of rooms or elevations, how much prep the surfaces need and what you want painted — trim, doors and cabinets take more time per foot than walls. What we can promise is a free, written estimate before any work starts, with the prep, the paint and the clean-up all on one number. Exterior work is 15% off, and that's taken off the estimate you see.

Every exterior job — siding and exterior walls, doors and trim, fences and decks, garages and outbuildings — is 15% off. It's on the written estimate from the start; there's no coupon and no fine print. Interior work, drywall and ceilings are quoted at our regular price.

No. We move furniture to the centre of the room or out of it, cover it and the floors with plastic and drop cloths, take down switch plates and fixtures, and put everything back when we're done. If there's anything fragile or personal you'd rather move yourself, just let us know.

A single room is usually a day, including prep. A typical three-bedroom house with walls, ceilings and trim runs three to five days; add a day or two if we're spraying cabinets or taking down popcorn ceilings. We give you a schedule with the estimate and we work consecutive days until it's finished.

Late spring through fall — roughly April to October — when it's dry and the temperature stays above about 50°F overnight. Summer is fine as long as we keep out of direct afternoon sun on hot siding. We watch the forecast and won't paint an exterior the day before a soaking rain. The 15% exterior discount applies all season.

Quality lines from the major brands — Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore for most interiors, and their exterior-rated paints outside — in the sheen that suits the surface: flat or matte on ceilings, eggshell or satin on walls, semi-gloss on trim, doors and cabinets. If you have a brand or colour in mind, we'll use it. Two coats is standard.

Yes — it's one of our main services. We seal the room, wet and scrape the texture, skim-coat and sand the ceiling smooth, repair anything we find and prime and paint it. One thing to know: popcorn texture applied before the mid-1980s can contain asbestos, so on older homes we'll advise a lab test (it's quick and inexpensive) before anything is scraped. If it's been painted over, removal takes longer, and we'll tell you that at the estimate.

Always. Nail holes, hairline cracks and small dents are filled as part of every paint job. Bigger damage — doorknob holes, water-stained ceilings, loose tape, walls opened up for plumbing — we patch, tape, mud, sand and texture-match before the primer goes on, so the repair disappears under the paint. We also hang and finish new drywall for additions, basements and garages.
